Energy economisation (ENOK) deals with how to use less electrical energy and
how to use it in a more efficient
way.
Energy consumption per capita in Norway is among the highest
in the world. Due to this it is of great importance to inform
the public how they can decrease their energy
consumption.
The ENOK-center in
Aust-Agder is situated in Arendal and is suppost to encourage the public
to be more conscious in their use
of energy. The center is owned and run by the power companies
in the district.

Even though Norway is a
rich country and 99 % av the electrical energy comes from
waterfalls, we must sometimes import coal energy from our
neighbouring countries. If we manage to reduce our energy
consumption, we can export our clean energy
and save the environment. In buildings it is possible
to save up to 30 % energy by ENOK efforts.
