This is an introductory page which users will reach after they have selected one of the economic SECTORs or drivers from the entry page. (Click here for the explanation of types of issues and themes.)

This page provides an overview of the SECTOR in The City and its interaction with the environment, it highights only key facts and messages and then further guides users to deeper levels of the report where more detailed information about the SECTOR is presented from different angles. (The structure of the page follows a simplified DPSIR framework.)

[How does the SECTOR influence city environment ?]

This part summarizes information about interactions of the SECTOR with the City environment. This includes both Pressures from the sector (e.g. Industry) on various environmental components (e.g. air, water, land) through e.g. emmission of pollutants, the changes in the State of the invironment caused by this sector (e.g. decreased air and water quality as a result of industrial pollution), amd secondary impacts (e.g. health implications or economic damages). (This part corresponds to the "P-S-I"part of the DPSIR framework.)

You may want to only include a brief paragraph at this point to introduce the problems, one or two preview-size graphics with key trends or other indicators, or a related picture or photo, and after three or four sentences include a link to a separate "interact.htm" page that will contain more detailed information.

[What is the SECTOR in the City like ?]

(This part corresponds to the "D" part of the DPSIR framework.) Include here an introductory paragraph that leads to more detailed information on a separate driver.htm page.
