The electronic ecological information on Bishkek was prepared by the staff of the Scientific Research Centre Aral of the International Commission for Sustainable Development on the initiative of and in coordination with the UNEP/GRID-Arendal , with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Emergencies of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Mayor^, s Office of Bishkek.

 The information on the electronic ecological report on Bishkek was discussed in detail at the Electronic Tools for the Aarhus Convention Task Force Workshop (8-9 March 2001) in Arendal, Grimstad, Norway).

 The statements of the electronic ecological report are not the official position of the report organizers: the UNEP/GRID-Arendal, the Ministry of Ecology and Emergencies of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Mayor,s Office of Bishkek. They are not responsible for absolute authenticity of the materials used in the report. The materials and statistical data were taken from official sources at the moment of the electronic report preparation. The text of the report is open for free discussion, exchange of opinions and making additions.  

Photographs from CD-ROMs Environment in Central Asia (www.grida.no/aral); Kyrgyz Fine 24 Artists, Swiss Coordination Office, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan;   as well as photo materials from the database of the Scientific Research Centre Aral were used in the electronic ecological report on Bishkek.
