Energy

What is being done to make the SECTOR more environment-friendly

What is done to solve the problems?

At present the capacity of installations refining smoky gases from harmful impurities reached 8.5 million m3 per hour. All boilers using solid fuel (coal) have different types of ash-trappers. In the power grids there are 7 installations for mechanical and biological refining of sewage. Their total productivity is more than 100 thousand m3 per day. In 1978 all subdivisions of the power grids stopped to discharge uncleaned sewage into the surface reservoirs. The departmental monitoring at the Kyrgyzenergoholding controls environment pollution and enhances the rational use of the fuel power resources (FPR). At the thermoelectric power station (TPS) and in the boiler-houses the control includes the definition of the wastes, registration of the wastes number, and the account on the wastes control.

In case of preservation of the growth rate of power consumption it is necessary to carry out repairs and reconstruction of urban networks and to increase capacities of substations.

The transition to electro heating and electrical food preparations of objects in a housing and communal services, social sphere and housing sector will exclude their dependence on deliveries of natural gas from Uzbekistan and will improve ecology of the city.

In the city climatic conditions (300 days in one year - solar), are favorable for a construction of systems of solar heat supply. At the existing prices for organic fuel the use of a solar energy in systems of hot water supply in buildings of seasonal action, agricultural structures (hothouse, water demineralizer, dryer of agricultural production etc.) is expedient. In case of heat supply of buildings its application saves 40-60 % of the annual charge of organic fuel. The energy received during one year from 1m2 of a solar collector, enables to refuse from burning of 100-120 kg of conventional fuel.
