Vegetation. The natural vegetation was kept on vacant sites in suburbs. On suburbs of the city vegetables, wheat, cucurbitaceous cultures are cultivated. Vineyards and fruit gardens adjoin to the city area. In northern part of the city on the sites, which have been not engaged in cultural plants, we can meet small bushes of reed, cattail, sedge, on coasts of ponds and rivers – a wild growing willow, poplar and occasionally loeaster.   In low foothill adyry of the southern suburbs of the city plants with droughty places characteristic prevail. The bottom part of the zone is occupied by plants of ephemeral and wormwood semi-desert.

The following plants grow here: rare-standing bushes: atraphaxis, meadow-sweet, Tyan-Shan cherry; grassy plants: milfoil, wormwood, John, s-wood, ephedr, thyme, fescue, mullein, liquorice, doob. Crocus, colchicum, goose onions, fowl-grass and then wormwood emerge in March.

Plants of a steppe grouping are widely distributed in foothills, such as: cereal genus (saryndyz, ferule, eremurus, couch-grass, astragalus), couch-grass and motley grass genus (couch-grass, fescue, brome). In the specified vegetative communities in a different degree occur bushes of elm, meadow-sweet, dog-rose, cotoneaster etc.

Fauna. The basis of the city^,s fauna constitutes the typical representatives of a cultural landscape of pale-arctic^, s fauna. From mammals are usual: bats (bat-dwarf), rats, hedgehogs, murine rodent (house mouse, grey hamster). On suburbs are found shrews, wood mouse, ordinary field-vole, and rarely - tamarisk chick-weed, weasel, big-eared hedgehogs.

In parks and squares has got accustomed an acclimatized squirrel.

In a city boundaries there are more than 100 kinds of birds, from them about 30 nestle. On nesting-place there are numerous sparrow (house, field), turtle-dove (small, ordinary), martin (swallow, red-loins), blackbird, starling. In less number there nestle dun reel, shrike, greenfinch, wagtail, large titmouse, oriole, grey-headed goldfinch, grey cobweb bird, hawk white-throat, hoopoe. Noctuid, swift, crested skylark, nightingale, goatsucker and others are very rare.

Noctuid, chiffchaff, black-craw thrush, fieldfare, pink starling, siskin, chaffinch, brambling, yellow-headed kinglet, waxwing, redstart, cuckoo, white wagtail and others visit the city on transit flights.

Grey crow, rook, jackdaw are usual on wintering. There are some small wintering colonies of big-eared owl. Occasionally winters goshawk. Density of the population of birds and mammals is insignificant.

Green toad, lake and Central Asian frog represents Amphibious. Toad in small numbers is settled on the entire city, frogs are found in ponds on suburbs. From vermigrades on suburbs of the city there are patterned colober and water grass-snake.

Several channels and ponds in a city boundaries occupied by dace, minnow, rudd, gudgeon, sazan, grey loach, cat-fish, Chui stickleback, Amur chebachok, etc.

Some of them are objects for amateur fishing.
