  What you can do to help your city  

     Basic town-planning - ecological restrictions on development and reconstruction of the planning structure of the city of  Bishkek and its suburban zone

IT IS NOT SUPPOSED:

1. Accommodation of chemical manufactures with harmful emissions in the territory of the city in connection with the limited opportunities of natural self-cleaning of atmospheric air.

2. Accommodation of industrial manufactures with harmful emissions on one line in a latitudinal direction with large built-up formations in connection with prevalence of valley winds of a latitudinal direction at heights more than 50 m.

3. Development of eastern and western industrial zones of the city, available on one of latitudinal axis with territory of the central zone in the aspect of ecological rating of the aeratic characteristics; specified industrial zone are expedient to move gradually to northern borders of the city; expansion of manufactures are to provide at the expense of increase of compactness of a lay-out and building of industrial zones.

4. To expand geographically the existing municipal - warehouse zone on the former territory; on ecology - orographic consideration it is expedient to implement a transfer to the northwest part of the city.

5. From ecological positions development of a large built-up areas and significant objects of public health services in the northern and central zones, preference should be given to the southern zone of the territory of the city and suburban areas, contiguous to borders of the southern zone.

6. To envisage at updating of the main streets directions any essential changes for achievement of the purposes of stimulation of territory airing; from the same position the idea of creation of "aeratic corridors" is proved at the expense of the linear extended planting spaces with low building and accomplishment.

 IT IS NECESSARY:

1.  In the central zone of the city to give preferance to the planning development of administrative and business function, entertainment, trade-household buildings and complexes.

2.  In the suburban zone of the capital creation of green blocks and realization of their connection with the aeration green corridors in the city plan; the development of a plentiful planting and irrigate suburban zone will allow to protect urban territory from east winds, drying up in the summer period, from western part the green blocks should ensure the protection against extremely dusty wind flows from deserted territories; the green blocks from the southern part should promote creation of the landscape panoramas and mouth of aeratic corridors.

3. To use in the town-planning table describing levels of comfort, revealed zones of the territory of the city.
