Population and social conditions

What are the impacts of this issue

Women fertility (number of children given birth by one woman).

Bishkek has the lowest on the republic factor of fertility -1,5 children (2,6 - on the average on the country).

In Bishkek urban population prevails (99,5 %) and woman bear less children than in villages (in 1,7 times). The educational level of the women of the capital is much higher. The birth rate on ethnic structure of the population is non-uniform, for example, Uigurs have on the average 2 children, Dungans- 1,9; Azerbaijanians, Tajik women, Turks, and Uzbeks - 1,8; Ukrainians - 1,7; Kyrgyzs - 1,5; Russians - 1,4 and Germans 1,3 children.

For 1989-1999 number of women of 20-29 years has increased in Bishkek on 25 ths. persons, or on 40 %, however, the growth of the number of children (till 4 years) has not increased so noticeably (6,3 ths., or 14 %). Fertility of women of the capital has decreased.

As a result of influence of emigrational processes and demographic situation, there were significant changes in the national structure. The number of Kyrgyzs has increased on 256,2 ths. persons (2,9 times), their densities in 1999 has made 52 % against 23 % in 1989. Number of Uigurs (by 20 %), Koreans (by 27%), Uzbeks (by 19%), Kazakhs (by 35%), Dungans (by 40%) has substantially increased. The number of Russians has decreased on 92,6 ths. persons (27 %), Ukrainians - on 18,2 ths. persons (in 2,1 times), Germans on 8,4 ths. persons (in 2,6 times).

The average age of Kyrgyzs has aggregated 24,5 years, whereas Germans -32,2 years, Koreans -32,5 years, Russian and Tatars - 37,6 years, Ukrainians - 45,5 years.

The younger age of Kyrgyzs is caused by internal migration of youth from all areas in Bishkek, and the usual average age of Russians, Tatars, Ukrainians and Germans is caused by emigration of the persons of younger age.
