  What is the general situation with the ISSUE?

 In the Kyrgyz Republic live:

  4822938 persons;     

 In Bishkek - 762308 - (15.8 %).

 
     On the data of the census of 1999 in Bishkek there are 762308 persons of the constant population (from them urban population amount 758204, village 4104 persons live at the expense of inclusion in the structure of the City Council the Orto-Sai village) and 787738 persons of the population (from them urban - 783280 and village - 4458 persons). Bishkek is the largest city in the republic, in which almost 16 % of all population lives. And the share of Bishkek for the last years grows constantly. Average density of the population makes 4888 inhabitants on 1 km2.

The increase of the population occurred at the expense of a natural gain, migration of the inhabitants from villages and other cities, at the expense of the villages included in the city’s structure.
In 1981 in comparison with 1940 the numbers of born on 1000 persons of the population has decreased in 1,7 times that was a consequence of Great Domestic War. The highest number of the registered marriages in account on 1000 persons falls on 1960 (15,1), and the most highest number of the registered divorces - on 1970 (3,9).
