In order to prevent diseases transmitted by water standard acts regulating microbiological and chemical pollution of water objects are applied (Sanitary Standard “Drinkable Water”, Maximum Allowable Concentrations of Harmful Substances in the Water of Open Reservoirs”).
It is
necessary: -
to provide the city with irrigation water in sufficient quantities;
- in order to economize the amount of consumed water to do
the repairs of water supply lines and to equip the residential
sector with water meters; - to build drainage facilities in the areas not equipped with
them; - to improve the systems of the collection and treatment of
domestic and industrial wastes for the reduction of surface and
ground water contamination; - to improve the water quality monitoring system. |
