   What are the impacts of this issue

        The data of long-term observations testify to the significant influence of the city population life activity on the water quality in rivers. Pollution includes oil products, nitrogen compounds, BPK5, mineralization, etc. 

         Over the recent years the ground water quality has improved a little what is connected with the stoppage of a large number of industrial enterprises and taking certain administrative steps, for example, the prohibition of selling motor transport fuel from mobile filling stations. Sometimes the established oil products standards are exceeded 2.4 times, and during summer flood periods the content of pollutants rises 20 and more times. According to expert estimations, the quality of water in canals and reservoirs equals the quality of water in rivers.
