 BROADCASTING AND TELEVISION 

The first broadcasting, taking Tashkent,s radio station was created in 1926. The Kyrgyz broadcasts are broadcasted through the town loud speakers in 1927.

The radio relay centre was created in 1930. By that time there were 25 km of broadcasting wire-lessees in the town. The most wide-spread of broadcasting way till 1932 were radio-newspapers such as "Frunzenskiy rabochiy" ("Frunze,s worker") in Kyrgyz, Russian, later in Dungan languages. Under the republic management of communication - the Committee on broadcasting was created in 1931. In 1936 the first wide-casting station began working in Frunze. In 1982 the average casting per day of radio translation with casting from Moscow was 68 hours and 30 minutes in Kyrgyz, Russian, Dungan and German languages. There were 157 thousand of wireless sets, the length of radio-lines was 839 km.

The republic television began working in 1958, with selling up the Frunze,s radio-television broadcasting centre. By 1979 the television became accessible to almost every settled areas of the Republic. In 1980 13,4 thousand of TV-sets were sold in Frunze, in 1982 - 16,4 thousand. Reception and broadcasting of the 1st and 2nd TV-programmes and the programmes of Almaty and Tashkent TV-studios has been being carried out through radio and space communications. The volume of the average television broadcasting per day was 43,2 hours. The broadcasts are being held in Kyrgyz and Russian languages.

The broadcasts of radio and television are being prepared by the radio television studio of Goskomitet (State Committee) of the Kyrgyz Republic on television and broadcasting, with the quality of magnet records of 54804 with the volume of 8089 hours.
