  • Plant your gardens with local indigenous species (this will save your water bill as well).
  • Make sure that you have no alien invasive species in your garden.
  • Join a local conservancy in your area. If there isn't one, create one and rehabilitate a degraded natural area for future generations.
  • Grow medicinal plants to ensure a supply in the future.
  • Collect and donate indigenous seeds to local nurseries who supply indigenous plants.
  • Salvage indigenous plant material for relocation before development.
  • Report the abuse of terrestrial resources to the authorities
  • Do not dump! Use official disposal sites
  • Ensure that stormwater generated on your property does not damage the downstream environment
  • Use environmental alternatives to highly toxic pesticides or better still allow natural ecosystems to operate in your garden
