 What is being done to
make the SECTOR more environment-friendly
In the future period following tasks must be
solved:
- dust removal from the agglomeration (the sintering
belts),
- dust removal from the production halls of the iron works,
- desulphurization of coke-oven gases,
- dust control of the foundry of blast furnaces,
- ecological reconstruction of heating plant boilers,
- ecological improvement of the Mokrá halda wet waste pile,
- construction of a hazardous waste landfill,
- instal
lation of filter presses
for further use of sludge from water treatment plant in VSŽ iron
works.
