 What is being done
to solve the problems
From the point of view of the protection of water
against its pollution and impairment, at first it is necessary to
remove causes of its pollution. An increased attention should be
paid to agricultural production – applications of agrochemicals and
wastewater from livestock production, waste landfills, product
pipelines, roads, but above all, it is necessary to solve the issues
of adequate wastewater treatment:
- the construction of sewage treatment plants in industrial and
municipal spheres
including the
sewerage system applications; it is necessary to complete
construction of the sewerage system in Barca, Dargovských hrdinov
Housing Estate, Myslava, Šebastovce, Lorinčík and Poľov;
it is necessary to ensure the complete construction of the
sewerage system in the Krásna nad
Hornádom and Kavečany municipal districts including the area of
the ZOO by building up the sewage treatment plant, and in the
Košická Nová Ves municipal district and in the village of
Ťahanovce;
it is necessary to construct the new sewerage in
Suchodolinská, Kostolianska and Podhradová Streets;
reconstruction of the AVI sewerage header (Osloboditeľov
Square) and A14 (Alejová Street) and the sewerage system in Luník
II and III;
revitalization of streams and their drainage basins;
improved protection and rational use of water streams.
