Heat Supply Policy, design of actions necessary to improve the
quality of the environment in the city

of emission control systems in line with EU requirements to be set
up at co-generation stations and larger boiler houses

Setting
up of a working group to address issues related to reconstruction
of older boiler houses to be adapted to utilise sawdust and other
discarded timber by-products as fuel
-
Together
with the Greater Riga Regional Environmental Board, stricter
control over the quality of fuel and emissions at local boiler
houses
