Emissions to the atmosphere are directly linked with electricity and heat generation, and, in a wider sense, with the strategy chosen for the heat supply in the city, location of industrial enterprises in the city and their activities, as well as the traffic flow intensity. A significant role in reducing the amount of emissions is played by environmental management. It is essential to be aware of the factors, which favour rational use of energy resources and limit the amount of emissions.
