Biodiversity

  What is causing the problems

Because of preference of economic interests on nature conservation ones in the City`s development, transformation into other types of land use of valuable nature areas (meadows, forests, parks and gardens etc.) is taking place. It is followed by reduction of biodiversity.

 CAUSES

1. The regulations specifying permitted uses and precisely defining boundaries of nature areas defined in the Official Plan are lacking

2.Inflexibility of the tax policies to maintain the interest of land owners in nature conservation area

3. Unavailability of complete information on the biodiversity and lack of awareness of the society on the role of biodiversity  in the City

4. Lack of funds to systemize land ownership rights in nature areas of national importance

5. Negative impacts of anthropogenic loads
