 CAUSES

1. Rapidly changing problems under the conditions of the restructuring of the economy

2. Unorganised water supply management technical system and networks

3. Limited financial resources and low efficiency of use

IN CERTAIN AREAS GROUND WATERS ARE HIGHLY POLLUTED, AND THERE IS A POTENTIALLY HIGH POLLUTION RISK AT THE FUEL STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION PLACES

 CAUSES

1. Creation of waste dumping sites that do not comply with environmental requirements

2. Pollution caused by former Soviet army bases and factories, and migration of contaminants into layers located deeper strata

3. Fuel spills resulting from the inadequate technology applied by old fuel storage depots and petrol stations

4. Potentially high pollution risk at petrol stations, fuel storage and handling facilities (oil terminals).
