   What is causing the problems 

Because of factual absence of waste management, the disposal of wastes occurs anywhere, where possible. The risk of infectious diseases has increased (because of reproduction of rats, favorable conditions of emergence of centers of infection. Lots of areas and dwelling places look anesthetically, which strongly influences psychological condition of citizens (teenagers especially). In the city's suburbs many illegal landfills appear, largely in ravines (for example, Vere Ravine) and Kura riverbanks. By experts' assessments because of non-regulated landfills the pollution of groundwater is expected. There is no information about the reduction of environmental quality of soil, air, reservoirs ("Tbilisi Sea", Kustba, and etc.) as a result of incorrect disposal of wastes. It should be said that it has been concluded by individual investigations that, for example, "Tbilisi Sea" water quality meets the limits of standards, which could be attributed just to natural regulatory processes of preservation of water quality.
