in the service of health
Seeing health in a wider
Healthy Cities context as a part of the individualīs total wellbeing
is the basic idea also in development of Primus project. It ensures
the well-being of the inhabitants by providing them sufficient
health services at a reasonable cost and with respect to the needs
of the Health Services employees. The goals are a. improved client
service, b. updated working methods, c. budget effciency, d.
developing new services and e. general control over health care
quality.
Primus is a project of City
of Turku, in cooperation with Sonera Corporation, Novo Group
Corporation & NOKIA WellMate. Together they provide the
Primus-project dynamism that predicts interesting future prospects.
Health technology products include a. WellMate system based on the
co-use of mobile phones and the internet and b. Home TV &
Internet is a tool for client centered care with clients, relatives
and home care personnel.
In client centered service
a. clients receive overall information on their health, b.
appointment booking is easier and access to treatment faster, c.
clients can actively influence their own treatment and d. client
autonomy in utilizing personal health records is realized. New
client Service System for primary health care contains:
appointments, electronic health records In-Ward care and statistical
information.
Primus builds on the
results of international projects and co-operation with partners.
Evaluation is based on international validation and process
re-engineering devises new models of care. Primus also uses
ultramodern data technology and supports multi-disciplinary
working.
