HEALTH PROFILE, INDICATORS AND VISUALIZING THEM

Health Profile exist in an updated form in the internet www.turku.fi/terveysprofiili.
The HC indicator work has been one main issues in the national
network action in Finland. Also the new Norwegian software
"Publikit" will be tested in the HC indicator- and national network
frames.
An
innovative approach with the Health Profile has been e.g. the
anti-smoking campaign. It was started when the information in Health
Profile (gis based health information from the city) showed that
smoking is a problem in two particular neighborhood areas. The
campaign has worked in new, different ways only in these two areas.
The results are measured in collaboration with the National Public
Health Institute.
